EMERGENCY TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF A30 GREENHILL, SHERBORNE
DORSET COUNCIL has issued a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along A30 GREENHILL, SHERBORNE between its junction with Marston Road and its junction with Bristol Road, a distance of approximately 300 metres. The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise likelihood of danger to highway users. It came in to operation on 11 August 2022 and can remain in force for up to 21 days
This Notice will enable SGN safe access to carry out emergency repairs to a damaged gas line.
The alternative route, which will be sign posted is as follows: Crackmore - Sherborne Road - A357 - Cook's Lane - A3030 - A352 For further information about the work being undertaken, call SGN on 0800 912 1700.
