Stuckey’s Bank was established in Langport in the 18th century it grew to become one of the biggest and most trusted banking groups of the time.
Its banknotes that were circulated at the time are said to have been only second to that of the Bank of England.

This is a talk on the early history of the of the railways through to Yeovil, South Somerset and West Dorset.
This will be of interesting to us as we have quite a mix of lines going through Bradford Abbas and Stations to the East & West.
