I recently received this update from our Community Fibre Partnership contact.
You (like me) may have received conflicting updates stating (un)availability of FTTP (Gigabit Fibre to the Premises) in Bradford Abbas. But the most up to date information I have, both from our Community Fibre Partnership contact and the installation teams on the ground is as follows.
By the way, there’s a new acronym for your personal glossary! A PON is a Passive Optical Network which I take to be a junction box where a single fibre cable splits its signal to several individual premises.
From our Community Fibre Partnership contact:
… the last PON’s all have the estimated completion date of 30/04/23 with the additional 2 weeks for testing and commissioning. So they should then receive an email from funding.platform@notifications.service.gov.uk. to advise fibre is live and they can order with their chosen service provider.
So by mid May we should all be connected via FTTP.
