Neighbourhood Plan – Save the Date!

Your views on the future of our community are needed – come and share them with us on Thursday 3rdNovember, at 7:30pm in the Village Hall! The Working Party behind The Neighbourhood Plan now need to write the Plan, but it is not our plan, it is everyone’s - the communities of Bradford Abbas and Clifton Maybank – and that means YOU!  Worried about the future of businesses in the village, like the pub and the defunct shop?  Are you interested in preserving footpaths in the area?  Have you got views about the bus service or road safety in our locality?  Alarmed by the thought of future flooding around Smith’s Bridge?  Whatever your thoughts we would love to hear them, so please do come along to the Public Meeting on Thursday 3rd November.

On weekends when we are without a service in Bradford Abbas, we encourage villagers to join a service at one of our neighbouring churches. These are posted on the notice boards outside the church.

In the middle of October, we had a special interactive event in church to tell some of the parables that Jesus told his followers. All the children from our village school came in to take part, as did the children and staff from the BA Pre-School. This was followed by two harvest services in church, one for the school on Friday, followed by a Sunday service for the regular congregation. Thanks to the generosity of the children, their parents and our parishioners, a huge haul of food was collected for the Sherborne Food Bank. Thanks to everybody who contributed to help families in need.
