WD/D/17/001525 1 Wessex Drive, Bradford Abbas. DT9 6SH. Erect 2 storey side and rear extensions including to the roof.
Cllr D Hayward welcomed the member of the public and described how the applications were determined and the reason for the August Extraordinary Meeting was due to the WDDC comments deadlines being between Parish Council Meeting.
It was noted there was an objection to the above application from the neighbour. Cllr L Bennett did not attend the meeting due to her interests with this particular application. She resides at 2 Wessex Drive.
The application was discussed at length and the Cllrs did not object in principle to the extension. The main concern was the proximity to the boundary taking into consideration the recently approved application to 2 Wessex Drive. Previously similar applications were approved but the extensions were not near the neighbouring houses.
It was resolved, unanimously, to object to this application. Cllr D Hayward offered to distribute a draft statement to all the Cllrs for their comments to accompany the objection to WDDC. Action: Cllr D Hayward
WD/D/17/001590 Yorkfold, Churchwell Street, Bradford Abbas. DT9 6RG. No objections were raised by the Councillors. It was noted the majority of the extensions faces the railroad track and will not overlook either neighbour. The Clerk asked if the decision for WDDC was to support or comment with no objection on the planning portal. It was resolved to support the refurbishment of the outdated bungalow.
WD/D/17/001236 1 The Cross, Bradford Abbas DT9 6RY. It was noted it is a substantial development that is in keeping with the surrounding Conservation Area. The applicant was in attendance and noted there was a statement provided to WDDC that is not on the website noting the extension will have little effect on the adjoining property. The Clerk will ask the Case Officer K Trevitt for the statement. The resolution was to support the application.
